Dear Island Neighbors –
Thank you Hilton Head! Your generous donations and support have truly demonstrated the strength and compassion of our Island community. Thanks to you and Christ Lutheran Church, we were able to collect much-needed supplies and pack a 14 foot truck for those impacted in Western North Carolina.
A special thank you to the staff at Coligny and businesses in Coligny for taking the time to transport the donations up to Avery County, NC. Please keep them in prayer for safe travel.
I’ve included a few photos below from the Island Rec Center drive, the Christ Lutheran drive and Former Beaufort Mayor Stephen Murray’s Facebook page. The Island’s commitment to helping others in need is a true reflection of what makes our island community so special.
This is also a reminder of our event at Hilton Head Brewing Company’s Oktoberfest Sunday! It’s going to be a great time celebrating local food, music, and—of course—craft beer! I’ll be there enjoying the festivities with my friends Matt and Derrick, and I would love to connect with you in a more casual setting, supporting one of our fantastic Ward 1 businesses. I hope you’ll come out and join us.
