Dear Island Neighbors,
Spring is here, so it must be time for another Community Conversation, where we can enjoy the great weather and converse about important topics on our Island. This time, we’ll be meeting at a new venue – beautiful Jarvis Creek Park (Pavilion #3). Please join us there on Friday, April 25 at 5:00 pm for information and open discussion about Hilton Head Island’s annual budget process.

Our new fiscal year begins July 1, and important decisions will be made in the next two months about the budget allocations that will support our Town government’s strategies, initiatives, and operations. As your Ward 1 Town Council representative, I value your input and concerns. So this Community Conversation will focus on:

– The budget process and schedule that Town Council will be following
– The major components of our municipal budget
– Our approach to making tough decisions about funding for the most critical priorities
– Intelligent protection of taxpayer dollars in these uncertain times
– Opportunities for citizens to participate in the process and express their views
